How does Humanity affect the World?
Hands: The hands in the middle are coming together on each side showcase two different worlds coming together and meeting in the middle. I used oil pastel to smear to create a more fluid meeting of the two sides.
Flower: There are two worlds on each side of the flower. The burning cities filled with smoke and the green flowery natural world. In the middle is the flower. The flower serves to unite both sides as it is the subject of the photo. The flower is acting as protection from the fire and smoke against the natural world. However, smoke still gets through to the two sheep.
Fire: There is one world in this image. The greenery and city life have been combined into one. The greenery is taking over a dilapidated part of the city. Nature is coming back after the destruction of the fire that you can see in the distance. The red and black background acts as fire and soot left over from the damage.
